Panoramic Xray
Why do we need a Panoramic Xray?
A panoramic Xray is a 2d image that shows the entire mouth in one frontal picture focusing on the upper and lower jaw as well as all teeth. This picture is different than what they would take at the pediatric dental or general dentist office, as they are looking at smaller areas of teeth to identify cavities. This larger picture allows the Orthodontist to see potential bone abnormalities, tooth positioning, fractures, cysts and impacted teeth.
Cephalometric Xray
Why do we need a Cephalometric Xray?
A cephalometric Xray is radiograph full view image of the side profile of your face. Orthodontists use this imaging to best identify the precise positioning of the top and bottom jaw (maxilla and mandible) to asses the nature of a patients bite. Also this imaging provides the Orthodontist information on tooth relationship, pubertal growth, and to identify airway concerns.
Itero Scan
An Itero scanner is a 3d scan which shows a 360 degree view of inside the mouth and provides the orthodontists valuable information on relationship of the teeth to the gums. As the patient moves through treatment the orthodontist can track the changes and assess proportional movements in order to obtain the most desirable results.
Itero scans are also used to provide to the lab when printing or producing an appliance. No more goop/impression material to create a mold, these scans are now industry standard and are used to produce a variety of appliances but not limited to Invisalign aligners, palatal expanders, and retainers
Doctor to Review Findings
During the consultation appointment the Orthodontist will review all the valuable information provided, ask you additional questions and then give their professional opinions on next steps with your concerns and expectations in mind.
The Orthodontist will explain using simple language their findings and discuss with you any questions or concerns you have.
Treatment Coordinator Plans
If the Orthodontist recommends you or your child is ready for treatment then the Treatment Coordinator will go over the process of how Treehouse Orthodontics will complete the Treatment. This includes the appliance(s) needed during treatment, how they function, home/personal care, length of treatment, frequency of appointments needed, financials, and expectations. They will be your touchpoint to ensure you understand and feel comfortable moving forward with Treatment.

FAQ'S
When is the best age to start Orthodontic treatment?
The best age to start orthodontic treatment changes depending on the individual needs of the patient. However, the American Association of Orthodontists recommends that children have their first orthodontic consultation by age 7. Early evaluation can help identify potential issues and allow for timely intervention, which can simplify treatment and improve outcomes. At Treehouse Orthodontics, we offer consultations for children, teenagers, and young adults to determine the best time to begin treatment.
How long does Orthodontic treatment take?
It depends on the complexity of the case and what treatment is being used. On average, treatment with braces or Invisalign can take anywhere from 12 to 36 months. During your consultation at Treehouse Orthodontics, we will provide a personalized treatment plan with an estimated timeline, so you know what to expect.
What are the costs associated with Orthodontic treatment in Orange County?
The cost of Orange County orthodontics can vary depending on the type of treatment and the complexity of the case. Braces typically range from $4,000 to $7,000, while Invisalign may cost between $3,500 and $8,000. At Treehouse Orthodontics, we offer flexible payment plan options. Most dental insurances will provide a maximum dollar amount given for orthodontic treatment and can be applied to the cost of treatment.
Is Invisalign as effective as braces ?
Invisalign is highly effective for treating a wide range of orthodontic issues, but it may not be suitable for all cases. Braces are generally more effective for complex or severe orthodontic problems. One of best ways to ensure effective treatment is the patient’s compliance to wear the appliance. During your consultation at Treehouse Orthodontics, we will evaluate your needs and recommend the best treatment option for you..
How often do I wear my retainer after treatment?
After completing orthodontic treatment, it is essential to wear your retainer as directed by your orthodontist to maintain your results. Typically, retainers should be worn full-time for the first few months, gradually transitioning to night-time wear.
