Dr. Shelton Hsu (pronounced “Shoe”) is a specialist in orthodontics and has been treating children, teenagers and adults for over 15 years. His mission is to provide detailed quality care with a gentle touch and help his patients benefit from a lifetime of healthy straight teeth. Especially with young patients, he makes a genuine effort to listen carefully and answer their questions and concerns.  

Dr. Hsu stays up to date with modern orthodontics and uses technology to make treatment easier and more comfortable for his patients. Whether your case is simple or complex, Dr. Hsu will identify the main cause of misalignment and then carefully plan an efficient strategy to straighten your teeth and enhance your smile. When appropriate, Dr. Hsu is trained to collaborate with other dental and medical professionals to address broader issues including airway/sleep apnea, myofunctional habits, TMJ symptoms, and replacing missing teeth.  

Dr. Hsu earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Loma Linda University. He was accepted to the very competitive specialty residency at LLU and completed training for a certificate and a masters of science (MS) in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. Dr. Hsu spent the early years of his career practicing in Silicon Valley and came to Southern California to be close to family. He maintains active membership in the American Association of Orthodontists, the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, and the California Association of Orthodontists.

Dr. Kelly Nguyen is a proud Orange County native who brings her passion for orthodontics and patient care to Treehouse Orthodontics. After earning her degree in Nutritional Sciences from UC Berkeley, Dr. Kelly pursued her dental education at UCLA, followed by specialized training in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at the prestigious University of Pennsylvania.

With over 7 years of Orthodontic experience her commitment to excellence is evident in her board certification, a distinction achieved by less than half of practicing orthodontists.

Dr. Kelly’s approach is rooted in her belief that a healthy, beautiful smile can significantly enhance a person’s confidence and well-being. Outside the office, she enjoys staying active and exploring new cultures, reflecting both her positive energy and curiosity.
